2bln USD entertainment complex planned in Long An

Construction on a 2 billion USD entertainment complex is scheduled to commence in Ben Luc commune, the Mekong Delta province of Long An in January, 2011. The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Khang Thong Group held a press briefing on the Vietnam Happyland on September 6 in Hanoi.

Turkish Airlines cleared for HCMC-Istanbul flights

Turkish Airlines is set to operate flights between Vietnam and Istanbul at the end of this year. Flag carrier Turkish Airlines has been licensed to offer flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Turkey’s capital Istanbul at the end of this year.

National Day tour bookings up

Most of the tourist companies have reported a rise in tour bookings for the long National Day holiday this week. The Government has allowed state agencies and mass organizations an extra day off this Friday, thus prolonging the National Day (September 2) holiday to four. The decision is believed to fuel demand for travel.
