Biggest personal collection of folk paintings opens in Hanoi

Collector Pham Duc Si will introduce his collection of Hang Trong folk paintings at an exhibition at the Viet Art Centre, 42 Yet Kieu, Hanoi from September 9. Si’s collection is praised as the largest personal collection of Hang Trong paintings in Vietnam, with 149 paintings.

Hanoi, Hoi An in Asia’s top 10 holiday destinations

Vietnam’s Hanoi and Hoi An City have been added to the list of Asia’s top ten holiday destinations for 2010 by the Hong Kong online tourist magazine Smart Travel Asia. According to the results, the ancient town in central Vietnam, Hoi An has retained the fifth place, that it reached last year and Hanoi came seventh in the list.
