VNAT’s Chairman Nguyen Trung Khanh: Thanh Hoa needs to boost promotion and digital transformation to develop tourism

– Chairman of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh, had a meeting on November 23 with the delegation of Thanh Hoa Province led by Mr. Nguyen Van Thi - Standing Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, on the province's tourism development in the coming time.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Thi informed that Thanh Hoa has attracted the investment of large groups in luxury resorts, developing tourism infrastructure  increasingly synchronous and modern. This is favorable for leveraging local tourism with attractive, diverse tourism products and services to more effectively allure visitors who prefer experiences close to nature, sea, spiritual culture, local community…

Mr. Nguyen Van Thi also expressed that Thanh Hoa is willing to participate in tourism recovery programs after Covid-19, digital transformation, communication and tourism promotion,  tourism events hosted by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.

Chairman of VNAT Nguyen Trung Khanh highly appreciated Thanh Hoa Province's determination to develop tourism, and emphasized that this locality boasts great potentials for tourism development, especially, suitable products of ecotourism and community-based tourism products.

He suggested that Thanh Hoa should focus on promotion, digital transformation, human resource training, diversification of tourism products to develop tourism more effectively. In the field of digital transformation, VNAT in coordination with localities have established the database of Vietnam's tourism industry. In addition, flexible and appropriate policies to attract strategic investors, more effective promotion to suitable potential markets are very essential for tourism development of Thanh Hoa Province. The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism continues to closely coordinate with Thanh Hoa Province to restore and develop local tourism.
